Our on-site workshops on the Management of Fracture-Related Infections (FRI) provide up-to-date information and a practical approach to manage fracture-related infections successfully. We cover prevention, diagnosis and combined (medical and surgical) treatment, with particular emphasis on the interdisciplinary approach and efficient modern concepts. The courses are a mix of lectures by expert scientists in the domain, interactive case discussion and practical (hands-on) workshops.
Goal
To review, update and advance the theoretical and practical knowledge in diagnosis, treatment and prevention of bone and implant-associated infections. At the end of the workshop, participants should be able to generate a rational and efficient management plan based on modern principles.

Target Audience
Attending physicians or advanced fellows from the following disciplines: internal medicine, infectious diseases, microbiology, orthopaedic surgery, traumotology, plastic and reconstructive surgery, cardiovascular surgery, neurosurgery, other surgical disciplines, pharmacy, pathology, radiology, basic sciences (biology, biotechnology, chemistry, material sience). Whenever possible, a complementary team from each institution should attend the workshop, i.e. one from surgical (orthopedic surgery or traumatology) and one from medical field (internal medicine, microbiology, infectious diseases).
Course Fees

Certificate / Credits
Participants will receive a confirmation of attendance (certificate) at the end of the workshop. This workshop is accredited with 12 CME credits by the Medical Chamber Berlin. For participants with German EFN numbers: Participants will be asked to hand in their EFN number the beginning of the event and will receive the CME credits automatically. Participants working in other countries than Germany can seek to obtain equivalent CME credits by submitting the certificate of attendance to their respective medical society.
