Infections in orthopedics and trauma surgery represent an increasing challenge in clinical practice. During the event, new and innovative concepts in the diagnosis and therapy of bone, joint and implant infections will be presented and critically discussed. The use and effectiveness of antibiotics against biofilms is a central topic: How are periprosthetic infections treated? How can pathogens that are difficult to treat or resistant be controlled? How can antimicrobial and surgical therapy be optimized?
