The PRO-IMPLANT special seminars focus on selected topics on challenging implant-associated infections. This seminar focuses on clinical cases with infections involving megaprosthesis. In the 4th episode of our special seminar series, selected complex cases will be presented by colleagues and discussed with the international faculty. We summarize and highlight the most important theoretical aspects and will give outlooks to therapy concepts and future aspects. The seminar is organized in cooperation with Implantcast and Heraeus Medical.

To review, update and advance the theoretical and practical knowledge concerning the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of infections involving mega-prosthesis.

Attending physicians (Oberarzt, Leitender Arzt) or advanced fellows (Assistenzarzt) from the following disciplines: Internal Medicine, Infectious Diseases, Microbiology, Orthopaedic Surgery, Traumotology, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Pharmacy, Radiology, Basic Sciences (Biology, Biotechnology, Chemistry, Material Science).
Whenever possible, a complementary team from each institution should attend the online seminar, i.e. one from surgical (orthopedic surgery or traumatology) and one from medical field (internal medicine, microbiology, infectious diseases).
