Workshop on Management of Fracture-Related Infections (FRI)

Our on-site workshops on the Management of Fracture-Related Infections (FRI) offer the latest insights and practical strategies for effectively managing fracture-related infections.

We cover all critical aspects, including prevention, diagnosis, and combined (medical and surgical) treatment, with a strong emphasis on an interdisciplinary approach and the most efficient modern concepts. The courses are a combination of expert-led lectures, interactive case discussions, and hands-on workshops.

This workshop is approved with 14 CME credits by the Berlin Medical Chamber Berlin, and approved by Ethical MedTech.

Goal

Our goal is to review, update, and enhance theoretical and practical knowledge in the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of bone and implant-associated infections. By the end of the workshop, participants will be equipped to develop a rational and efficient management plan grounded in modern principles.

Target Audience

Attending physicians or advanced fellows from the following disciplines: internal medicine, infectious diseases, microbiology, orthopaedic surgery, traumotology, plastic and reconstructive surgery, cardiovascular surgery, neurosurgery, other surgical disciplines, pharmacy, pathology, radiology, basic sciences (biology, biotechnology, chemistry, material sience). Whenever possible, a complementary team from each institution should attend the workshop, i.e. one from surgical (orthopedic surgery or traumatology) and one from medical field (internal medicine, microbiology, infectious diseases).

Course Fees

520,00 € (normal) 480,00 € (early bird until 30 days before the event) Course fee is not subject to taxation according to § 4 Nr. 22a German tax Act, UStG. Course fee covers workshop and the printed version of Pocket Guide on PJI.

Certificate / Credits

Participants will receive a confirmation of attendance (certificate) at the end of the workshop. Submitted for accreditation at the Berlin Medical Chamber and Ethical MedTech. For participants with German EFN numbers: Participants will be asked to hand in their EFN number the beginning of the event. In case of accreditation, participants will receive the CME credits automatically after the event. Participants working in other countries than Germany can seek to obtain equivalent CME credits by submitting the certificate of attendance to their respective medical society.
