PRO-IMPLANT Foundation is organizing in cooperation with the AUC – Akademie der Unfallchirurgie GmbH the seminar series - Infections as complication in trauma surgery - starting in January 2022. Module 3 is all about early-postoperative complications after fracture fixation: Fixation, hematoma, wound healing disorder, diagnostics, prevention, antibiotics. Our experts will present and discuss theoretical backgrounds, clinical experiences, and innovative solutions for musculoskeletal infections. The organisation of the seminar is supported by Aposan, Bonalive, Bonesupport, Curasan, Heraeus Medical (Workshop-Partner), Nuvasive und Osartis.

The aim of the seminar series is to present and discuss theoretical backgrounds, clinical experiences, and innovative solutions for musculoscelletal infections.

Target Audience

Attending physicians (Oberärztin/-arzt, leitende Ärztin/leitender Arzt) or advanced fellows (Assistenzärztin/-arzt) from the following disciplines: Internal Medicine, infectious diseases, microbiology, orthopaedic surgery, traumotology, plastic and reconstructive surgery, cardiovascular surgery, neurosurgery, other surgical disciplines, pharmacy, pathology, radiology, basic sciences (biology, biotechnology, chemistry, material sience). Whenever possible, a complementary team from each institution should attend the workshop, i.e. one from surgical (orthopedic surgery or traumatology) and one from medical field (internal medicine, microbiology, infectious diseases).

Course Fees

FOR FREE. Course fee is not subject to taxation according to § 4 Nr. 22a German tax Act, UStG. Course fee covers online seminar, pdf version of Pocket Guide on PJI (German) and selected literature.

Certificate / Credits

A confirmation of attendance (certificate) will be send to you after the third module of the Online Seminar. This Online Seminar has been submitted for accreditation by Ärztekammer Berlin. For participants with German EFN numbers: In the beginning of the event you will be asked to write your EFN number in the chat. In case of acrreditation by the Ärztekammer Berlin, participants will receive the CME credits automatically (participation in the live sessions is obligatory in order to obtain the CME points). Participants working in other countries than Germany can seek to obtain equivalent CME credits by submitting the certificate of attendance to their respective medical society.

Confirmed participants who do not cancel and do not attend are liable for the entire fee unless organizer is notified in advance.
Cancellation
The organizer reserves the right to change the program without prior notice or to cancel the Online Seminar. In the event of cancellation, a full refund will be provided.
